The Flood Project was inspired by a small group of professors at <a href="http://www.lafayette.edu/">Lafayette College</a>, who were interested in establishing a museum dedicated to this theme. A major step forward occurred when the <a href="http://nurturenature.org/">Nurture Nature Foundation</a> offered to make available a building to help the project become a reality.
